ROASYS has been accepted into the Startup Garage Exploration Circuit at the University of Ottawa Entrepreneurship Hub. The program is a 4-month accelerator that provides mentorship, workshops, pitch practice, and access to a network of investors and industry professionals. We are one of six startups in this cohort.
The best startups are the ones that solve problems no one else is willing to tackle.
The cohort includes Apidae Systems, CardiAxis Medical, Pikazo, PocketLab Testing, Precision Infrared Detectors, and ROASYS. Founders come from the Telfer School of Management, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Science at the University of Ottawa. For ROASYS, admission into the program is a practical next step. It gives us structured access to mentorship, funding resources, and a community of founders who are building at the same stage.

Over the next four months, we will be working through the program's curriculum alongside the other founders in the cohort. The goal is straightforward: use the time and resources to move ROASYS forward, from simulation validation to the first municipal pilot.
Wrapping Up with Key Insights
Getting into Startup Garage means the idea behind ROASYS is worth developing. The next few months will show what that looks like in practice.
